I would say one of the highs of this semester was getting a good grade on one of my assignments. It is really rewarding to get a good grade on an assignment that you put a lot of time on and worked really hard on. Another high of this semester was getting to hear Peter Shankman speak. That was really interesting for me because I think he is a great writer as well as entertaining. One of the low points for me this semester was getting a low grade on something I worked really hard on. I have learned a lot this semester and I am excited to use my new knowledge in job searching and within my future career.
I love the one that says you are graduating in less than 30 days. I am so ready for that! A little bitter sweet for me. I agree that Thanksgiving is such a wonderful time of the year to celebrate the ones you love!
haha I love number 6 I am so happy we are done with that project!! I also love number 8. I love the holidays and I am so excited they are here!
My loving family – Without them I would be lost. They always love me and are there for me no matter what!
My supportive and entertaining Friends – Friends are the sisters God forgot to give us. My friends keep me sane.
My home – Just the thought of being at home gives me a warm feeling and makes me smile.
Food, shelter, etc. (The things we take advantage of) – Sometimes we do not stop and think of how lucky we are to have the little things.
Having a college education (3 weeks away!) – Hopefully in a few months I can say I am thankful for my job!
Living in a free country – This is why we are so happy!
My professors – We forget the reason we are getting an education is because of them.
Movies – I could watch a movie every night if i had the time, I love movies.
Laughter – This is one thing in life that will never go out of style. I love laughing!
Love – ❤
I am the same way as you. I do not like going anywhere without my phone mainly because I am cautious and don’t want to run into a bad situation and have no way of getting help to get out of it. I also take pictures of outfits and send them to my friends for advice!
I also bring my phone everywhere I go especially shopping. I use my phone to look at grocery lists to make sure I don’t forget anything that I need. I also love Urban Outfitters. I didn’t know they had a mobile app I will have to get it!
I am personally guilty of bringing my phone almost everywhere I go whether it be shopping, class, etc. One of the reasons I bring it shopping with me is to take pictures of certain items and send them to my friends to get opinions. Some of my friends are very stylish and I trust their opinions when it comes to shopping. I don’t have any apps on my phone for particular stores but I do have an app that is called “Retail Me Not” which contains coupons on various stores and restaurants. I use that while shopping because it has great deals and works at a lot of places.
My client, Starbucks, has more than one mobile app. They have a nutrition calculator, menu app, Starbucks finder, and their generic in store mobile app. All of their apps are useful and well made. Their main app has a section where customers can look up how much money they have on their Starbucks card. It also has a reward center, location finder, e-gifts center, and much more. Their app allows you to do just about anything and is very beneficial.
It does not surprise me either that moms with young children are more likely to take an active role in social media. My sister recently had a baby and she is home all day and I feel like she is always posting stuff on Facebook and twitter. It is a lot easier to pick up your cell phone and entertain yourself or buy something when you have a small child.
My client is Starbucks which does not have much connection to moms and babies. Vera Bradley has recently come out with a whole new line of stuff for moms and babies. It would be great for them to marketing this through social media and have mobile purchasing.
The article stated that Moms with children under the age of five are more active on social media than other moms and the population at large, according to new data from Experian Marketing Services, drawn from its Simmons National Consumer Study, an annual survey of 25,000 U.S. adults. Experian also found moms with younger kids are more likely to shop with mobile devices.
I found this very interesting and my client Starbucks could use this as their advantage. It would be beneficial for them to do a social media campaign targeted towards young mothers so they could earn more of their business. Currently Starbucks does not target young mothers through social media so this would be an effective campaign for them.
My favorite costume when I was a child was a pink power angers costume. I am not sure if that was actually my favorite but for some reason it is the only one that really sticks out to me. My sisters and I all matched that year so we had a lot of fun with it. I carved a pumpkin every year when I was younger and I still do it now that I am in college. One of my favorite memories when I was little was carving pumpkins and then eating the seeds after my mom cooked them.
I think it is a great marketing tactic to have the Georgia Southern logo as template for carving a pumpkin. I think it would also be a great idea for other universities and companies to do it. I think it cause a lot of positive attention to the brand name and a lot of recognition.
